Dennis and Davey- Duel in the sky

Davey addresses Dennis on sensitive issues related to Apartheid's status in South Africa.

"I might not be as schooled as you are, but I'm not a novice either. Political power comes from physical occupation, not historical rights, not title deeds, nor moral rights - only occupation. Those people who occupy a territory determine the nature of the society in that region. At first, the Afrikaners established a steadfast and had control over the country, but with time, the equilibrium tilted in favor of the blacks, and the racial makeup changed and dominated. We are talking, 4 million whites versus 40 million blacks. No matter the power and strength of the South African forces, eventually they will be worn down in a war of attrition. What are they going to do next? Carpet bomb a few million blacks?"

"We'll take our chances," Dennis parried, "and besides, without the brains and know-how of the white population, how in hell are these blacks going to run the country. With a bow and arrow?"
